A war between The Resistance and the Netherworld,
A vampire who isn't all that he appears,
And the ultimate price that must be paid.

Dulcie O'Neil thought her luck couldn't get much worse but it's about to get a whole lot worse.

Forced into declaring war against the Netherworld and her father, Dulcie will find herself fighting for everything she believes in. In the process, she'll have to decide whether or not to trust a centuries old vampire, a decision which literally will mean life or death.

Luckily she's got hunky love interest, Knightley Vander, by her side but things get even stickier when she finds herself the subject of multiple men's affections.

FOR WHOM THE SPELL TOLLS is the sixth book in the epic bestselling Dulcie O’Neil Series.

For Whom The Spell Tolls An Urban Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance Series Dulcie O'Neil Book 6 eBook HP Mallory

The sixth and final installment of the Dulcie series was a nice finish to this series that started strong but seemed to drag a bit in the the previous two books. This one was full of action, tying up loose ends and providing a nice conclusion yet left me with a desire to still see more of these characters. The drama with Dulcies father finally comes to a conclusion, her and Knight from the beginning seem to be more or less over their issues and Bram and his true loyalties and motives keep you guessing throughout the book. Books 4 and 5 seemed to fall a little short at least for me for people who felt the same I'd say finish the series and read this book. While I'm sad to see these characters go after reading this I am glad it ended now and did not drag out.

For Whom The Spell Tolls An Urban Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance Series Dulcie O'Neil Book 6 eBook HP Mallory Reviews

i absolutely loved these books and,as i read other reviews,it was bittersweet as these charecters were my fave of h.p.'s series. I couldn't wait until the end but when i got there i really did not want dulcie, sam knight etc. stories to end. i read it so fast because i really wanted to see what happened next as these stories really are action-packed. spoiler alert! I only have one complaint, why did a much beloved charecter have to die? the charecters and plot stayed tight and really stayed true to each charecter but... oh well cannot wait for new series(lily)and spin-off one. ladyl
I have to say I was so sad to start this book because I knew it was the beginning of the end, but after finishing it I am 100% happy with how Ms. Mallory concluded everything! This has been a thoroughly entertaining series from the beginning. This is the type of series you find yourself completely invested in the characters so it was bitter sweet seeing it come to an end, but I'm very happy with how everything came together. If, after reading this book you find yourself in withdraw and lacking a new book to get you through it, I highly recommend Ms. Mallory's other series, the Jolie Wilkins series! Good reading!
In book one, Dulcie O'Neil started out as one of my least favorite characters. She was frustrating in her determination, head strong (often getting her into trouble) and ruthlessly independent. However, over the course of the six books in this series, she grew to be a favorite. She was still frustrating at times, but she never swayed from her beliefs and she was always true to herself. These are characteristics I could respect. Though I will miss the Dulcie characters, this was a great end to the series. Without giving too much away, it was fullfilling to see the results of Dulcie's toils over the past 6 books and to finally have Dulcie find peace.
I think this was great end to this story but.......I do think that the author could have made the series a little longer. I was shocked to see that this was the last book. GO Mallory did a great job of setting up all of the characters that we love with their happy endings with the exception of a few. Bram for example nothing really changes for him and I was very disappointed to see that Sam didn't get her happily ever after. She was basically glossed over while everyone got there own little piece of happiness. Before I say this I want to make it known that I'm not a critic and have absolutely zero writing experience but this one thing that writer consistently did in thus series was while characters were having conversations or even dialog where Dulce would just be thinking when the subject veered off a little bit the author would always add in "to get back to what we were talking about" which is fine but it seemed to be her only technique to mesh. It happened often enough that I chuckled every time I saw it. Like I said I'm not a writer and I'm thankful that their are people with enough talent and imagination to write these stories. I would definitely recommend this series and I'll probably check out her other work
In For Whom the Spell Tolls, HP Mallory ended the Dulcie O'Neill Series...and let me just make my personal shout-out right now....NO!!!!!! I CAN'T LET GO YET!!!! This stellar series finale made me laugh, cry, and hose down with anti-hormone spray all in one read. I couldn't put it down and didn't want to put it down. The entire time I was reading it, I kept thinking...."Nah, this can't be the end to the series," and I hope HP visits them again. That being said, the inclusion of the bonus chapter of her next series was GENIUS!!!! I can't wait to read it. But Dulcie, Knight, Bram, and Sam...I will miss you from the bottom of my heart. You've given me many hours of reading pleasure! Hats off to you, HP!! Love your writing style)
It's funny how you can wait months for a book to come out and then it finally does, it's like you didn't wait at all. Like an old friendship, HP's characters make it feel like you were just talking to them yesterday, no matter how long has past. This, like all of her books, was just amazing. It's crazy how she gives your mind all of these questions that you think "There's no way she can wrap all of this up in just one book!" but then she just does it. I don't want to give anything away about the book because I feel like there are just too many readers out there who have been sitting on the edge of their seat for too long waiting on the answers like me, but there is one thing I want them to know All of your questions will be answered and you will be so happy you went along for the ride with these characters! It's just great! It's everything you love about HP wrapped up into one book without the pesky cliffhanger! ) Read and enjoy!!
For Whom the Spell Tolls was a nice final book the in the Dulcie O'Neil series. I'm sad to see the series go but excited for her new upcoming series. I enjoyed the romance in this book. The bond between Dulcie and Knight is really well formed. I enjoyed reading about the trust they had in each other- it was very refreshing. I did read the book very quickly and managed to finish it in one sitting. I THINK that may be because the book was a bit short. While the story wrapped up nicely I couldn't shake the feeling that the final big scenes happened really quickly. I also can't shake the feeling that the final ball scene set the story up nicely for a breakoff series but not sure if I'm reading too much into things. Overall I've really enjoyed this series. It's been fun!
